Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: 2026-04-28

The short version

Some of the links on Paw Pulses are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission. There is no extra cost to you. That commission is how we keep Paw Pulses online.

We only recommend products we'd give our own senior dogs. We don't accept paid placements that compromise our editorial recommendations.

The longer version

Programs we participate in

Paw Pulses is a participant in the following affiliate programs:

  • Amazon AssociatesAs an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
  • Awin — including merchants like Aniwell and others approved through the Awin network.
  • Additional programs may be added over time. Active programs are listed at the bottom of this page.

When you click an affiliate link on Paw Pulses, a tracking cookie is placed in your browser. If you complete a purchase from that retailer (sometimes within hours, sometimes within days, depending on the program's cookie window), the retailer pays us a small commission on that sale. The price you pay is the same as if you'd visited the retailer directly.

We earn nothing if you don't buy. We earn nothing extra if you buy more.

Our editorial policy

Three rules we follow without exception:

  1. We disclose every affiliate-link-containing article at the top of the article. No hidden disclosures.
  2. We rank products by what's best for the dog. Not by commission rate. We have turned down higher-commission opportunities to recommend lower-commission products that perform better.
  3. We do not accept "post-for-pay" sponsorships disguised as editorial. If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be clearly marked as sponsored and visually distinct from editorial articles.

What this site is not

Paw Pulses is not a veterinarian. Nothing on this site is medical advice. The affiliate disclosure here covers our financial relationship with retailers — it does not turn our articles into a substitute for professional veterinary care. If your dog is in pain, behaving abnormally, or showing red-flag symptoms, contact your vet, not us.

Questions or concerns

If you ever feel a recommendation on this site doesn't pass the smell test, write to us at hello@pawpulses.com and tell us. We take editorial integrity seriously and we'd rather lose a commission than lose your trust.
